Smart Geeks Hiring Process

We have a meritocracy hiring process that allows us to recruit the best talent from around the world, which is explained in the following 8 steps:
1

Job Seekers

We post job announcements on multiple platforms and job-seeking platforms to make sure we have a lot of interested candidates.
2

Resume Shortlisting

We carefully review resumes (aka. CVs) of all the interested candidates and shortlist only those that fulfill our requirements.
3

Audio Recording

At this stage, the candidates from step 2 are requested to send a voice clip introducing themselves and their professional experience.
4

Candidates Shortlisting

Candidates having perfect communication skills based on the voice clip from step 3 are shortlisted by double checking all provided their information.
5

Pair Programming

Candidates are invited for a 90-minute long technical call, during which they are supposed to do a bit of pair programming with one of our senior engineers.
6

Final Interview

Based on step 5, candidates are invited to a final semi-technical meeting with our CEO to talk about tech, remote work, and the next steps.
7

Hiring Candidates

At this stage, the candidates are presented to prospective clients and successful candidates are welcomed to the SmartGeeks family.
8

Online Training

All our Smart Geeks get a set of mandatory and optional training to enhance their understanding of tech and remote work.

The Top 2%

This process is carefully crafted based on our experience of working remotely for over 12 years and this way we ensure that we hire the top 2% of talent from around the world.
